Day 01: Welcome to Uganda
Welcome to Uganda! Our drivers will be waiting for you at the airport to take you to your guesthouse in Entebbe. There, you can recover from your journey and meet the other athletes. Take your time to prepare for our journey that starts the next day.
Day 02: Swimming and running at Kyaninga Crater Lake
We drive through the green heart of Uganda towards Fort Portal (a journey of 6 to 7 hours in total). Then, your first real training session begins to get your body moving and let you familiarizes with the landscape. We will start with a guided open-water swim in one of the most beautiful crater lakes of Uganda: Kyaninga. Afterwards we will run one round on the caldera rim. The approximately 5 kilometer trailrun provides breathtaking panoramic views of the area. What a fantastic way to start your adventure.

Day 03: Endulating crater lakes
Today, you will cycle 62 km past breathtaking crater lakes. Along the way, there is time for a swim or a picnic. Later, we cross the equator by car and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will sleep in safari tents while the sounds of hippos and hyenas fill the night.

Day 04: Perfect balance between active and adventure
A day of your own choosing: go for a challenging trail run up Kichwarme escarpment, a jeep or boat safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park, or a magnificent hike through Kyamburu Gorge to encounter chimpanzees up close. You can discover wildlife, jungle and the vast savanna and combining it with sporty activities.

Day 05: Cycling from the savannah to the jungle
We leave the flat savanna behind and climb towards the rainforest of Buhoma. Along the way, we pass tea plantations and visit the mountain village. It is a challenging bike ride with an ascent of nearly 1,000 meters. But once reached, there is plenty of time in the late afternoon to take a short walk through town and visit local projects.

Day 06: Gorilla trekking or activity through the coffee farms
Today, we combine exercise with exploration. Choose a cycling or running route that takes you past local villages and Uganda’s world-famous coffee plantations. Those who prefer to immerse themselves in Uganda’s unique wildlife can opt for a mountain gorilla trek; a truly unique opportunity.

Day 07: Secret trail through Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
We follow a hidden trail through Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This 14 km trail run along jungle paths, featuring 500 meters of elevation gain, is followed by a 30 km bike ride to Lake Mutanda. It is a day filled with physical exertion and spectacular scenery, where every kilometer offers a new experience.

Day 08: Lake Mutanda Festival
We’ll be open-water swimming in the lake, followed by a 43 km bike ride with over 650 meters of elevation gain and views of volcanoes. Today is all about training in a unique
setting, where sport and nature are fully integrated.

Day 09: Running with zebras
We drive to Lake Mburo National Park. At the end of the day, you run a route outside the park borders, but with guaranteed close encounters with zebras and gazelles. It is an experience you won’t soon forget: running while surrounded by wildlife.

Day 10: Safari cycle and departure
A morning ride in Lake Mburo National Park, with zebras, giraffes, and buffaloes along the route, accompanied by a ranger who is also on a bicycle. Afterward, we drive back to Entebbe, passing the equator on the way. It is a final chance to let the journey sink in and say our goodbyes. This was no ordinary training week, but an adventure that will stay with you for a long time.
